When the Weekend Comes 'Round

Fridays that end a pager rotation are like one big sigh of relief. It means the end of restless nights, and constant flinching at the sound of a ringing phone. It means Earl doesn’t have to worry about how long it will take him to get to the office, or whether he’ll be able to finish his dinner before someone calls the emergency line.
The phone rang seven times. Four trips to work for him. Twice it interrupted dinner. But that’s okay, because it’s over now.

It’s the lead in to the weekend and I’m feeling good about all the nonsense that we’ve got going on. Earl has to work tomorrow morning, and we’re helping a friend move, but we couldn’t have done, if he still had the pager phone. Sunday I get an actual breakfast with Earl and then we’ll be taking to pup to grandma’s house to spend time with them (Haven’t seen Earl’s mom since the wedding – which is actually a long time for us)

Other than that, I’m making no plans. I don’t want them. I just want to do whatever I want this weekend without having to worry about where we are in relation to someone else’s needs!

Some small announcements before I go:

Three of my books are officially available for sale The Reformation of Tyler Harris came out on Tax Day, and I should have print versions of them… soonish.

If you want to be informed via email when each new book comes out, there's a newsletter sign-up form on my writing blog and on my website.

I’ll be doing some wedding-related posts over on the blog I write with one of my besties, if you guys wanted to take a gander at that.
