One Month

I keep looking at the calendar and thinking the date can't be right. There's no way it's been a whole month since we got married... and yet, here it is April 29th. Time really flies, doesn't it?

To be completely honest nothings changed - save for the fact he's wearing a ring, I've got an extra one, and everyone asks if it's changed yet.

Whenever we get the ominous "Just wait" comments, I always wonder what I should be waiting for. Last Saturday marked 5 years and 5 months that we've been together. What's going to change now, that wouldn't have in the 5+ years we've known eachother?

We were in Michael's waiting in line to get our guest book framed (The line was because of their 60% + 20% off sale), and we started talking with a woman who was finaly getting one of her husband's christmas gifts framed. She asked what we were getting framed, and told us she'd gotten married about a year earlier. And we struk up a conversation about several things. What struck me though, was that when she found out that we work together, she immediately asked about seperate space in our home, where we could "get away" from eachother. When we told her we live in a studio-style apartment, she gave us a withering sort of look and we found out we were one of those disgusting couples who spends all their time together.

I'm okay with being one of those disgusting couples.

*** Wedding photos and commentary will be up on magpieandfox.blogspot.com soon. I meant to start putting up the posts yesterday, but my router decided Sunday was a good day to die, and I only own a foot long ethernet cable (to hook the modem to the router) so I'm kind of net-less until the new one comes in on Thursday. There's one small post announcing the start of the posts, but that's it so far.***

  1. Congrats! (a bit belated I realize) I agree with you; I never understood that attitude. I can't imagine anyone else I would rather spend time with than my wife. When I worked from home it was great.

The three year old, on the other hand, I have to escape, or I can't get anything done. Well, except for building endless Chuggington train layouts.
