So, I Went Shopping Yesterday

So, I went shopping yesterday with the future mother in law, and managed to get 90% of the stuff marked off my list. Please excuse (a) the faces - I am nothing if not amusing to myself (b) the fact these are all taken in my bathroom. I didn't have a volunteer photographer handy.

Anyway, because I haven’t been around for a while, I figured I’d regale you with the things I bought.

Firstly, I grabbed Earl this awesome shirt at Converse

I don't know why this and the picture of my shoes below got all squished...

And one for me too (Be proud of me: this is the first black shirt I've bought in a long time)

along with a pair of black chucks for him (not pictured), and a pair of pink ones for me! (It seems I cannot own a pair of chucks without them being polka-dotted in one way or another)

I’m honestly trying to find more opportunities to wear dresses, so I got  this adorable dress (which someone looked at and determined they must “put a bird on it”) and I made it something I could conceivably wear to work… by putting that cardigan on. With my yellow tights and black ballet flats, I think it’ll look awesome. (both of these are from H&M)

Another set of work stuff. I got a second Cardigan in Peach! from H&M and then I got two pairs of linen work pants. One grey, one black. They are amazing. I officially want to live in Linen. And then I found this adorable shirt at Rue 21 (Which, Holy Moley, was that store cramped!). It has a pattern that reminds me of my grandmother’s old sofa! Which might not be as cute to you as it is to me.

I bought a plain cream version of that shirt, but they have the same back. Fun, right?

I also got a pair of Jeans from the Gap, they’re pretty standard, so I didn’t bother taking a detailed picture of them. But I got this adorable mint T as well. The skulls are a lace pattern printed over the top and I love it – especially love the length!
I'm laughing at my dog here....
So that's how I spent my memorial day weekend. What about you. Did you check out any of the sales? Or were you a sane person and allowed yourself to stay home and watch Arrested Development?
