Applescotch Sundaes

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 5 cups Tart Apples, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Vanilla Ice Cream

In sauce pan, combine brown sugar, flour, water, lemon juice and salt. Stir until smooth.

Bring to boil. Boil and stir 2 minutes. Add apples. Return to Boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10-12 minutes.

Remove from heat. Add butter and Vanilla. Stir until butter is melted.

Serve warm or at room temperature over ice cream.
