The Quest for a Perfect Coat: Anthropologie Edition

So, I was on Anthropologie's website a little while ago... and I saw this.
I won't lie to you... this is the perfect coat. It's the perfect color, just the right amount of girliness with out making you look like you're 6 and yet structured enough to make the whole thing work perfectly. When I found it, it was $148. Two weeks later, it had droped to $79 and was sold out. I didn't cry, but I certainly did pout. The same coat is still available in brown, but it's not really my cup of tea.

I do really enjoy this coat as well, I love the color and the texture and the structure of it... but it's not perfect for my purposes. And at $148, I can't see buying it when it won't be perfect.

And then there's this one.... It is absolutly adorable and I think it's just Mary Tyler More enough without feeling old lady-ish. But... the sleeves aren't full sleeves. They're about 3/4 (maybe a little longer) and frankly, in a coat, that would probably drive me crazy. I still love the tie up at the top and the mustard color... but not enough for the $168 price tag.

  1. Stupid Anthropologie making such adorable clothes and costing so much. You're sooo right about that first jacket. It is too cute!
