Not Another Hair-a-thon

Yesterday I wore my hair in a low ponytail – the kind that rests at the base of one’s skull. It’s not something I do often, especially here in summer when Phoenix’s name is legally altered to: Hell. And as I sat there working on one of my SF WIPs I realized: my bangs had gotten to the point where they could be easily contained in this arrangement, and that, dear friends, got me thinking.
In less than two months it will be another year since I’ve cut my hair. As of now, my bangs are the same length the rest of my hair was when I got it cut last October. Ergo, I need a haircut once more, because I’m not going to do the 3-year thing again. That is for sure.
But I don’t really know what I want to do. I want something that’s different, but not too drastic, and while I’m contemplating something edgy or a little bit “Mod,” I’m not sure how I’d deal with that.  My hair is way too thick and curly to cut short, and because of that uber curl, it becomes very high maintenance when I can’t simply toss it up into a messy bun if I’m running late.
Any thoughts?

  2. It's almost been another year? That's crazy! Seems like not that long ago.

Also, I have very thick hair. I always have the hairdresser thin it out (oh, it's like one of my favorite things!! And I'm totally serious). I always know it's time to get a haircut when I wake up and realize that straightening my hair doesn't get rid of the volume. Thinning, here I come. Not sure about the curly aspect though, so I'm not help there. Can't wait to see what you do!
