So. Here’s the deal:
For my high school years, I weighed an average of 115. And I’ve always been very constant in my weight. After high school – no longer having Aerobics with Katie and Britney, I slowly made my way up and settled at about 120. Through my first marriage’s trials and subsequent divorce I inched my way up to 140 and then dropped back to 130. And then… my hormones whet all out of whack.
Along with a period that lasted a full 7 weeks… I gained 30pounds… in SEVEN weeks.
And now I’m resting at 160, still completely buoyant at this weight. I haven’t gone up, but I’m certainly not going down. And because of this (and the fact that summer is nearly over) I’m going to start working really hard to get back down to my target weight (somewhere between 120 and 130).
From now on, Wednesday is going to be my day of accountability. I’m going to post my honest weight from that morning and tell you what I’m doing to get it down.
Your help and support will be greatly appreciated as I work my way through this!
Today's Weigh-in: 160.5
For real? Man, you're so much braver than I could ever be. I won't even weigh myself, much less post my weight on the internet.
ReplyDeleteWell, here's my support.
Go, go, go, go, go.
(Not sure if that's the proper amount of go's)
Go Shawty, it's your birthday.
No. Seriously, I wish you all the luck in the world. I hiked up there for a few months in my weight because I stopped working out. I've always been a gym rat. But it was so easy to slip away from it. I used the excuse that it ate up too much time. But the thing was, I felt so sluggish and yucky. I no longer go to the gym, but every morning I wake up early and start my day either on my elliptical or treadmill, then I do a resistance workout. I just said the other day, I feel great for the rest of the day, when I break a sweat first thing in the morning.
Stay strong. You can do it.
Oh and one more thing:
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BIG DAY TODAY!
Hehe...I love Joann's congratulations!
ReplyDelete208 is what I weighed in at the doctor a few weeks ago. I also maintained a pretty good weight after high school because I became a gym junkie. I've never passed 200 though, and so that scale was a little depressing the other day. My goal is 150. But since I found out about my high cholesterol (and my low vitamin D, did I tell you that? The pills have been helping) and I've been changing some things. I'll be right there with you!
