The Shepherd “Issue”
The shepherd issue happens with a lot of series but I’ve named it the “Shepherd” issue because in one of my favorite shows that has been cancelled before it could tell me all of its secrets, Firefly, we never find out what’s going on with the character Shepherd.
It happens in so many shows that I’ve come to love and I absolutely hate it! Firefly, Pushing Daisies, Shin Chan… I could continue. The point is: I hate when I find a good thing only to have it taken away without getting closure.
Am I alone in this?

No, I totally understand. I love Firefly too. I have a long list of shows I liked that were canceled. But better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
ReplyDeleteRIP: Wash & Shepherd. I am a leaf on the wind... Watch how I soar.
Absolutely not! I realized even if they continued the series before the timeline where the movie takes place, we still wouldn't get any answers. We'd just get more hints and allusions and NOTHING CONCRETE NOW I'M FREAKING OUT.
ReplyDelete"That ain't no shepherd." That is my favorite episode, when the guy gets onto their ship. I'd love to know more about that line.
ReplyDeleteJubal Early: I don't think of myself as a lion. You might as well though, I have a mighty roar.
Simon: I said "Alliance."
Jubal Early: Oh, I thought...
Simon: No, I was...
Jubal Early: That's weird.
