I am a creature of the Pacific Northwest. I was born to
it, it is in my blood, and I will never be able to escape it. It’s something I’ve
accepted. And usually, it’s not a big deal. I go back to Oregon fairly
regularly… or at least I had done so.
I haven’t been “home” since August of 2013 and its
severely messing with my mental state.
Luckily, we’ve got a road trip planned for the tree lined
coast this summer.
I spend a lot of time listening to rain apps and
thunderstorms. It’s not the same, but it’s helping. Sort of.
And as of right now, I'm hopping on a plane for Portland. This long weekend is all about two of my Portland friends and the part of my immediate family I see the least. I couldn't be happier (uless Earl got to come with me).
