Yet Another Update...

Another update post! Amy, you're so crazy with the changing it up! I mean didn't we just have one of these.

Seriously, I know. I promise I'll get back to not boring stuff soon! Pinky swear!

But for now - here's an update on the list of things to do (Sorry, I know it's long :/)

Blogging:
·         Get back into a regular routine on my blogs!
o   (9/10/12) Seriously working on this one. I’m doing rather well – on one blog – and I think the key to this is figuring out a compromise and work out a better schedule.
o   (10/4/12) I’m still ironing out some scheduling stuff, but you’ll see me more consistently soon – and not just so I can update this list! I promise. After Christmas I’ll have some mildly crafty posts to put up (but since they’re Christmas gifts I’m giving, they’ll have to wait until then :D)
·         Review at least 52 movies
o   (9/10/12) Oddly this is not going as well as I’d hoped... I’m at 17 so far. Not terrible, but not great. That leaves me with 35 more reviews to write.
o   (10/4/12) 8 more to add to that list, down to 27 now! Creating my review blog is actually turning out to be a lot more fun than I expected. I’m not actively promoting it just yet, I want to get some substantial posting in before I hoot n’ holler about it.
·         Review 4 full TV Series (Firefly, Sherlock, Luther and Downton Abbey were the lucky winners of that lotto)
o   (9/10/12) Working my way through these. Sherlock is done. I plan on posting Firefly all at once – when I’m done with them, Downton and Luther are started… but they’re far from finished. Also, I’m doing quite a bit of reviews of other things as we watch them… so that’s biting into my focus.
o   (10/4/12) Luther and Sherlock are both complete (until they start airing the third seasons of those) And at the moment I’m trying to work in a rewatch of Firefly and the first season of Downton – because I can’t do them justice without refreshing them in my mind. Aside from that I’m really pleased with my progress on the episodic reviews. I’m over the 100 mark there (but that’s barely scratched the surface of the list I’ve got going!)
·         Review the first 3 seasons of Eureka
o   (9/10/12) This may be the most difficult goal – mostly it’s all about finding time to re-watch the series. At present I’m 0 for 43 on that count.
o   (10/4/12) As much as I love the show, getting the time is the real trick...

Writing/Reading:
·         Finish 5 more Novel Drafts (You can follow my progress on that front at my writing blog I update every Thursday)
o   (9/10/12) I’ve finished 2 novel drafts, so I’ve only got 3 more to go! Check out my updates page for more in-depth details.
o   (10/4/12) Updates are now on Fridays (thanks to the blog schedule update mentioned up top). And I’ve managed to clip through another draft, so we’re down to two! Less than 90k words to go to meet my goal!
·         Read at least 21 more novels
o   (9/10/12) I’ve only gotten 4 novels read so far, and one of them was a re-read, but I’ll count it!
o   (10/4/12) 3 more books checked off that list – this particular portion of my “Get it done” list is going much slower than anticipated. I’ll get on reading jags and zoom through a book, and then something comes up, so I don’t get to pick up another one for days!

Home:
·         Organize, edit and de-clutter my digital photo files.
o   (9/10/12) I started this  got a ways and then ended up getting distracted by something else… anyway, still plugging along, but nothing super progressive – and I certainly don’t have much of anything to show for it.
o   (10/4/12) In my quest to de clutter I’m getting things organized and realizing… I take a lot of weird pictures. There are quite a few that I come across and think, “I must have taken that for a blog post” and then can’t think of the reason why I would have! So there are quite a few pictures headed for the file that is lovingly labeled “Question Mark” as I sort through the chaff. Good News is, I should have a very cute Lucy photo book in the works :D
ü  Get the Long closet under control (It’s turned into a dumping ground and not even the curtain that covers it is helping my anxiety on that front.)
o   (9/10/12) This is actually at a point I could call it finished. It’s organized, it’s tidy, and Earl certainly thinks it’s done. But there are a few things that could be better organized, and I’d like to get a rolling tool cabinet to put against the west wall of the closet to organize the ridiculous amount of tools we own. And I’m still looking for the perfect China Hutch to get the china out of the Rubbermaid tub it now calls home.
o   (10/4/12) At the moment… I think I’m going to call this one done. There’s only one thing I know we’re going to do, and that’s get binders and baseball card sleeves for the GIGUNDUS baseball card collection that’s being neglected atm. Other than that. I’m going to consider this a win and reevaluate next year – maybe.
ü  Finish the re-decorating of the master Bedroom and Master Bath.
o   (9/10/12) This might be put on hold. We’re still debating whether or not to re-sign our lease, and if we don’t, there’s no real point in doing much here. So, we shall see.
o   (10/4/12) This is definitely on hold. We’ll know for sure if we’re moving in December, so… if we don’t move, I’ll add it to my list of things to do in the first quarter of Next year.
