I’ve always been more of a T & Jeans girl… moreso than anything else, and I’ll be honest: that’s stemmed largely from laziness and lack of wanting to fuss. I don’t wear makeup unless it’s a special occasion, and let’s face it if you’ve been reading this blog a while and know about the 3-year Hair-A-Thon… you’ll know that I’m not super into dealing with my hair.
This is what I wear when I’m not at work:
Yes, I have lots of fancy shoes:
I just wish I had more opportunities to wear them/more appropriate attire to wear them with.
So, my dear bloggy friends, I’ve decided it’s time for a change. I’m going to slowly shift away from being the girl who sticks with the easiest route when it comes to clothes. It will be a slow process (as you all know, clothes are not the least expensive thing in the world) and lets face it: Toss a frog into boiling water and it will hop out.
Next week, I’ll give you a peek at what I plan to add to my wardrobe (general pieces, obviously)
What about you? Are you satisfied with the way you currently dress? Or are you thinking about a couture coup?
OK, at the risk of sounding like an old lady, I would like to recommend you try out some cotton dresses. They are awesome! I switched to wearing all dresses quite awhile ago and have never looked back. They are so comfortable, way more so than even jeans. And you always look nice. You feel nice, too.
ReplyDeleteI wear them around the house with a cotton apron over the top and then I have a set of Out and About dresses for when I go somewhere. And I wear those with purple Birkenstocks, because when I am an old woman, I will wear purple. ~_~
Thanks Mona, I'm looking into more skirts and dresses. With what's out there, though, I'll probably have to start making my own stuff it I want something particular!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you have planned for this weeks pictures!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Amy. To get the kind of fabric (cotton) and style dress I like to wear, I started making my own, too. But I am so happy with the result! Not to mention, I save a ton of money doing that.
ReplyDeleteSkirts would be way easy to make. That's a good idea and then you can wear them with comfy T-shirts.
