So, in total, we got $111.49 worth of foodstuffs for $56.75. But here’s where it went wrong: We walked into the store on Sunday morning with the intention of buying our 12 Campbell’s soups for $0.25 each ($12 less than what we ended up paying for them) and that was because I didn’t pay enough attention as I was gathering the coupons. And so our coupons did not work for the soups that were 2 for $1, but rather those that were $3 for 2… and there’s where we should have just said, “Nevermind, we don’t need soup, so let’s skip it.) but we didn’t. So here we are. We did come in right at our budget though - $60 for the two weeks, so these two trips plus the 3.70 from last week puts us at $60.45.
Hey, at least you're stocked up on soup! I got 4 cans of chicken noodle with the deals they had going. This week was also pretty good for us shopping (I think we saved 44%) but that also included the 10% coupon we got from getting our flue shots.
ReplyDeleteAlso, that's a crap ton of pizzas! You must be a master at putting stuff in the freezer. I'm terrible with sorting food in there.
