While I was sick, I spent a lot of time half asleep on the couch. When I’m sick I tend to be in moods. This time was no different. This time, I was in an Fantasy/fairytale mood. And thus, half asleep on the couch, I watched – listened to is more accurate – most of the fantasies in my fabled DVD collection. Here’s a small sampling of the things that graced my TV for those 5-ish days.
The Color of Magic
The Tenth Kingdom
The Fellowship of the Ring
Stardust
Beauty and the Beast
Do you get in a particular sort of mood when you're sick?
I just like playing the computer but it's pretty hard to do when u're sick
ReplyDeleteI like reading when I'm sick. Unless it's a high fever and my eyes water. Then, it's movies. Speaking of which, were the first two movies in your list good?
ReplyDeleteWhen I started seeing your list, I thought, "She must see STARDUST!" Then, I saw it was on there. Isn't it great?! I loved the book too.
ReplyDeleteConnie, I can't read when I'm sick, and I have no idea why! I enjoyed both the Color of Magic and the 10th Kingdom, and I'm sad to say I've yet to read either book (they're on the list, though). The 10th kingdom has som great dialog, the people who wrote the novel (under a single pen name) were very creative when it comes to imagining what happened after the "golden age of fairy tales" and the color of magic is just silly enough to make everything in it commedic. That was the first time I'd seen it and I have to say, even though it's 3-ish hours long, I'll probably watch it again in the near future - when I'm not sick, so I can pay more attention to the details.
ReplyDeleteKristy, Stardust is great! The novel is also on my TBR list.
LoTR is a staple when I'm down the for the count.
