(Oh yeah, this is what my hair looks like when I mess with it)
This morning I woke up – begrudgingly – with a sore throat. It’s not cool enough to turn off the fan, but it’s not warm enough that the fan doesn’t affect me when it’s on. Stupid Fan.
On the way to work this morning, Earl and I talked about moving down town – it’s something we always do after we visit friends who live down there. This time, though, our talk-age was serious enough that I made a pros and cons list. I have to say, the pros heavily outweighed the cons. And at lunch we decided that we’d actively pursue moving down town. We’ve got to live there once before we buy a house!
It’s funny how the excitement of thinking about moving completely derailed my day. I had planned to work on my UF novel today. But alas and alack, it was not to be so, apparently.
I had a few prunes for a snack today. I’ve always liked prunes – despite the fact that I’m not an octogenarian. I remember growing up my mom and Ron used to drink prune juice with their breakfast. I’ve never had a taste for prune juice. It’s been a while since I ate prunes, and boy, did those four clean me out.
I spent most of the morning stewing about moving… I like variety in my living situation. The current place I’m at is the fourth apartment I’ve been in and this is my 5th year in AZ… I don’t think it takes a math major to figure that one out...
I also finished up my open enrollment today. Unlike most years in which I simply click the button that says, “I don’t want to make any changes.” This year, I made changes. Well, I didn’t do much. I just added Vision to my plan because I’m going blind. And because the price dropped through the floor and I felt that not taking advantage of that would be bad business. So next year at some point I may end up needing glasses, we’ll see what they have to say.
I also made a list of cleaning type things I’d like to do this week… I don’t know that any of them will actually get done, or, if they do, I doubt that they’ll get done on the nights I’ve scheduled them for. We shall see.
Oh, and I’ve gotten back into the swing of things and sent out a batch of query letters today. We’ll see how that goes! (I also made a spreadsheet about them after I finished emailing… as I am wont to do.)
Prunes, blugh. I only have one experience with prune juice. It was when I was homeschooled, and I was constipated. After drinking prune juice my mom still made me do schoolwork! I was very upset.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous you're already planning your downtown move!
