I had intended to write a post about my love of wint-o-mint, but alas. I have become side tracked... perhaps another time. I know, I know, You're devistated, but it will come, with time.
I thought I'd let you know how lucky I am - and if this starts to sound brag-y, I'm sorry about that.
I can't remember the last time I had to cook dinner on a week night. Earl always makes dinner anymore, and he's a wonderful cook. Last night - and he'd undoubtedly like me to reference another night, perhapst the night he made us teriyaki salmon with soba noodles and broccoli, but that's just not how it goes - Earl made dinner as usual. I was presented with a lovely portabello and swiss burger on a whole wheat bun sprinkled with cracked oats and a bowl of Mac N' Cheese.
I don't care how old I get I will never be too old to have Mac N' Cheese (especially when you can get it a Fresh & Easy for $0.39).
Two points of silliness: 1. I put a fork in his bowl when he wasn't looking and then claimed that it was the "Mac N' Cheese fairy, and then contemplated the awesomeness of a fairy that brought you mac n' cheese at your every whim. 2. Earl has a thing for square plates. we have 2 sets of square plates, and2 sets of bowls, one large and one small that are square. He often washes these dishes specially... simply so that we'll be able to use them.
Square isn't so bad, as far as dish obsessions go. My husband requires a specific thickness of dish. No joke.
ReplyDeleteCan Earl come and live with us?
ReplyDeleteI think we might have brothers, there. My hubby is a gourmet cook and the dishes, oh the dishes! He always says, "Presentation is everything." Of course in a manly way. And he's the one who gets all giddy when we go shopping for dishes. I so love that, especially since I am not a fan of cooking, just eating.
